And if the entire congregation of Israel errs, and the thing is hidden from the eyes of the assembly, but they have gone against any one of the Eternal's commandments concerning a thing which has been forbidden and are incriminated: if the sin which they have committed is known, the assembly is to offer a young bull for a sin-offering and bring it before the tent of meeting. The elders of the assembly are to lay their hands on the head of the bull, before the Eternal, and slaughter the bull before the Eternal. The anointed priest is to bring some of the blood of the bull to the tent of meeting. The priest is to dip his finger in the blood and splash it seven times, before the Eternal, in front of the veil. And he is to put some blood onto the horns of the altar which is before the Eternal, in the tent of meeting. And he is to pour all the blood at the foundation of the ascension altar which is by the entrance of the tent of meeting. And he is to raise all of its fat from it and incinerate it on the altar. He is to prepare for the bull as he prepared for the bull of the sin-offering, likewise he will prepare it. The priest will atone for them, and they will be forgiven. He will take the bull outside the camp and burn it as he burned the first bull. It is the assembly's sin-offering. - Leviticus 4:13-21
